Claire James, Marketing Manager - EMEA, NBC Universal Parks & Resorts

Claire James is EMEA Marketing Manager for Universal Parks and Resorts representing Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.  She is responsible for marketing strategy, planning and delivering integrated consumer and trade marketing campaigns with the objective to achieve greater brand awareness and surpass sales targets.

In this role Claire leads a team of 3 marketers, is responsible for the consumer budget and plays a significant role in the development of partner marketing alliances as well as being a key liaison to external agencies.

Claire is passionate about travel with over 7 years experience working  in the travel industry including TUI and Thomas Cook, and has over 12 years experience in B2C and B2B marketing.
 

Daniela Campari, UK Marketing Director, Wrigley's

Daniela Campari has over 20 years of experience in global marketing gained across a number of industries including FMCG and the service industry. She has held a number of senior positions including VP Strategic Business Development for the InterContinental Hotel Group, and Director Global Marketing, Sports & Energy for The Coca Cola Company.

Daniela joined Bass Brewers as a graduate trainee after gaining a degree at the University of Strathclyde which she later followed up with an MBA. While at Bass Brewers she was asked to move to the US in 1995 to work for their newly acquired hotel division, becoming Vice President of Strategic Business Development. She joined The Coca-Cola Company in 2002, holding a number of positions including Director for Innovation Portfolio Management.

Daniela is also a regular guest lecturer and has advised a number of smaller companies on their marketing efforts, most recently the beverage start up Whynatte Enterprises.

The Wrigley Company recently celebrated its centenary in the UK and Daniela believes the core of what they aim to do for consumers remains the same as it was 100 years ago: to create simple pleasures to brighten everyone's days.
 

David George, Marketing Director, Mercedes-Benz

David George was appointed as Marketing Director for Mercedes-Benz Cars in May 2011, moving across a single Milton Keynes roundabout from his previous role as Head of Marketing for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.  David spent

14 years with the Volkswagen Group UK Ltd in a number of roles, including positions in the areas of Sales and Marketing Communications for Volkswagen Passenger Cars.  During this time he also successfully filled the position of National Sales Manager and Marketing Communications Manager for Audi UK.

David's new remit at Mercedes-Benz Cars covers all elements of the marketing mix, but with a single minded focus on developing the appeal of this iconic brand to a younger audience.

Gail Gardner, Senior Marketing Communications Manager, Santander

Gail is currently Senior Marketing Communications Manager at Santander Corporate Banking. She is responsible for planning and delivering the media, events, sponsorships and exhibition activity in support of the business development and relationship management teams.
 
Gail’s career in financial services marketing began over 15 years ago at Royal & Sun Alliance. Throughout this time Gail has consistently delivered integrated communications campaigns across a variety of media aimed at both customer and prospect audiences. Gail’s experience also includes managing staff, budgets and agencies as well as developing strategic alliances and partnerships.

Katie Sheppard, Director of Marketing & Relationships, Match.com

 

Katie Sheppard is Director of Marketing and Relationships at match UK & Ireland, where she is responsible for delivering the overall brand ambition to make online the most popular way to meet a partner in Britain.

In this role Katie leads in delivering strategy and fully integrated multi-million pound marketing campaigns for match’s UK brands, including match.com, matchaffinity.com and DatingDirect.com.

She is passionate about the science of building successful relationships and has over a decade of experience in this area. Katie regularly works with relationship experts and research companies facilitating research into the British love landscape including the world’s first study into love and satisfaction in online relationships with the University of Bath. She is also responsible for the launch of LoveGeist, the UK’s most comprehensive annual survey of love and relationships which has studied over 200,000 people to date and was designed to ensure match stays on top of what makes the nation’s heart beat.

While at match, Katie has been responsible for managing the re-positioning of the match.com brand through the creation of award winning advertising campaigns. She also played a leading role in the successful launch of the matchaffinity.com relationship service in 2010.

Katie started her career making tea at marketing consultancy Joslin Shaw and quickly worked her way up to Account Manager. She later worked as a freelance consultant before co-founding consumer boutique Cherish PR Ltd where her clients included; Natmags, News International, iVillage, Hachette Filipacchi and IPC Media.

 

Margaret Jobling, UK Marketing Director, Birdseye

Margaret spent the first 15years of her career at Unilever working on various global personal care brands including Dove and Lynx.  She then became UK Household and Body Care Marketing Director at Sara Lee where she oversaw the creation of the first brand campaign for Radox winning several awards and the return of the Brylcreem Boy.  Margaret then worked at Cadbury as the Director of Marketing, Cadbury Dairy Milk before moving to Birds Eye in January 2011. 

Richard Hayes - Marketing Director. Warburton's

Richard Hayes is marketing director at Warburtons where he leads the marketing, innovation, insight and customer service teams in delivering the strategy and activity to maintain Warburtons growth and position as Britain’s favourite baker.

Hayes joined Warburtons in April 2007 and during his time there has contributed to value and share growth ahead of its major competitors and its award winning “Welcome to the Family” and latterly "We care because our name's on it" advertising campaigns.

An all rounder who combines general management, sales and category experience with his marketing background, Hayes has a track record of growing brands in mature categories by placing the consumer at the heart of commercial plans.

Prior to joining Warburtons, Hayes accumulated over twenty years FMCG experience in the food and drinks industries, holding UK and international roles at major multinationals including Allied Domecq, Kraft and Nabisco.

Renowned for his fanatical devotion to Liverpool Football Club, Hayes is a regular at Anfield where he is reassured by the return of King Kenny and progressive restoration of the mighty reds' fortunes.
 

Steve Antoniewicz, Recommended Agency Register

Steve's career in marketing began working for Scotland's first integrated agency in 1995. After leading many of the agency's key accounts Steve opened a new office in Manchester for the agencies plc owners, Citigate in 2003. With Steve as Managing Director, a period of rapid growth followed, working for FTSE 100 companies including United Utilities, Shell and Ladbrokes. Steve later became a member of the company's UK board before taking on a group wide business development role.

In 2007 Steve left to start a new venture, The Recommended Agency Register (RAR) a new concept in sourcing for marketing services. As Managing Director, Steve has successfully built the RAR brand, launching the online research and data source on agencies www.recommendedagencies.com. Steve also leads the RAR strategic consultancy service on all aspects of agency sourcing and selection. Steve has recently consulted for brands including Talk Talk (Business), Highland Spring, Parker pens, STIHL, Specsavers and Bauer Media.
