Cadillac Formula 1 Team
A lifelong car enthusiast whose career bridges automotive, technology, and culture, Iqbal will lead Cadillac F1’s global marketing strategy, overseeing brand development, fan engagement, and partnerships that will position the team as a bold, innovative, and fan-first entrant on the global stage. In addition to building and leading the marketing organization, he will be responsible for delivering a distinct and enduring brand identity for the Cadillac F1 team and helping define its position and voice within the U.S. motorsport and consumer marketplace.
Working closely with General Motors and TWG Motorsports, Iqbal will also help develop new ways for fans to experience the team, from interactive digital platforms to community-led storytelling and live events, with the goal of making Cadillac F1 a unifying force for American motorsport enthusiasts.
A seasoned marketing leader with more than a decade of experience, Iqbal joins Cadillac F1 after helping advance the automotive landscape across major technology platforms. Most recently, he led automotive strategy for TikTok, building the sector’s partnerships, products, and revenue into a nine-figure business. Before that, he served as Head of Global Automotive at Twitter (now X), where he developed the company’s OEM partnership strategy, go-to-market narratives, and product solutions tailored to the automotive sector.
Iqbal began his career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan before returning to his automotive roots with Audi of America (Volkswagen Group), where he spent seven years in leadership roles including Chief of Staff to the President. At Audi, he helped lead initiatives focused on electrification, digital retail, mobility services, and in-car innovation, shaping some of the brand’s earliest bets on the future of driving and customer experience.
